League shooting is the backbone of skeet shooting. Most new shooters “get their feet wet” shooting with friends at their home club. Often, they progress to an intramural event at their club, then graduate to a league that travels among various clubs. It is often their first opportunity to experience competition and the nuances of different clubs, backgrounds and people. At some point some shooters, but not all, join the ranks of registered shooting through the NSSA.
Leagues also are a great way for more experienced shooters to enjoy some friendly competition in the NSSA off-season, or hone their skills in a competitive environment year-round.
